The apartment did survive the tornado that tore through Joplin on May 22nd. Most of the town’s sights listed in the sights section of this website also survived. Due to shortage of living spaces from the tornado, the apartment has been leased long term as a private residence and is not longer available for weekend rentals at this time. If you are passing by please keep this in mind and respect the privacy of the tenants and their neighbors. We will update this notice if there are any changes in the rental status. It will take years for Joplin to rebuild. Every tourist dollar you spend in Joplin goes to the people of Joplin and helps their personal needs and restoration efforts.
